Biography

Aile was a Visual Kei band which was originally formed in November of 2001. Akito, Hiro, and Fumi began activities in March 2002. In April they released Gekka no Hana/Nakigara, their first demo. Their first live was also in May of that year. Takumi joined the band in January of 2003. Fumi's resignation followed in April of 2003. From March to December, Aile distributed a total of 10 releases at lives. Their next bassist, Yukkiy, joined in January of 2004. However, the fate of the band would come to their dissolution in March.

Akito went on to sing in the band Couple d'Ange. This band too came to and end, but 4 of the members became the line up for a newly forming Aile^*1.

On April 2nd 2005, nearly a year after its dissolution, Aile was rebirthed as AILE, its lineup consisting of Akito, Yue^*2, Tsuyoshi, and Kohsuke. Their support bassist, Sai, became an official member in May. Their second maxisingle, and first release under this lineup, was LOVE FEATHER in July which placed 15th on the Oricon indies charts. They also released SOLE FEATHER and PARTING FEATHER, both placing 10th and 15th. PARTING FEATHER would also come with AILE's first Promotional Video for the song Romance Senki. Summer of 2006, they released their first full length album, WHITE FEATHER, as well as the distributed track 「shock wave」on their Tenshi Kourin^*3 tour. This same summer, Yue had decided to formally leave the band. Weeks before their tour one final, Sai also left a message of resignation. Both Yue and Sai left the band at the Shibuya O-WEST live. The audio for this concert was recorded and compiled onto two discs in WHITE MEMORY 2 ~Sotsugyou~, the band's second photobook. A day before the release of WHITE MEMORY 2, AILE paused activities.

During this pause, AILE recruited two new members. It was announced in February that activities would be reopened at their March 31st oneman. A~ya (ex DeathRabbits, previously AILE's support member) and Moe (ex idiot) were introduced into the band. Tsuyoshi's position had also been changed from guitarist to bassist. AILE's 5th single, TRUE FEATHER was released in May of 2007 and placed 18th. Their 6th single was released in in August as well as their 3rd photobook, Descent of Angel -Mori no Emerald-. Unfortunately, after only 5 months, A~ya announced that he would leave the band August 22nd.

AILE continued their activities, releasing their 7th single CRYSTAL FEATHER, then their 2nd full length album WHITE FEATHER II. Unfortunately, a month after their 2nd album release, AILE disbanded on May 9th 2008. This live was recorded, and their only live dvd, LAST FEATHER, was released on July 9th.
